Birdie jar decoration

On Apr 12, 2014Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Other CraftsLeave a comment

A curious idea, it involves taking a small storage jar and filling it with something that you want to keep as a decoration and not take out. This is because you seal the jar at the end to make it look prettier. Materials provided were a small bird figurine and fake grass. The rest of …

Rainbow flower vase

It's been almost two weeks since I moved into my uni room in Birmingham, and I've quickly gotten used to the routine now. I get up early every day, make lunch and then leave to catch the train in New Street. (I live off campus, sad life but at least I'm close to the Bullring!) …

Tutorial – Origami tulip with stem

On Apr 9, 2013Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Origami, Origami FlowersLeave a comment

I was asked by someone yesterday to produce a short tutorial on how to make an origami tulip, so here is a photo tutorial on making the tulip, as well as attaching it to a stem. I've taken many photos in an attempt to make the process clear. The photos are all thumbnails with the …

Origami tulip pot

On Apr 8, 2013Apr 9, 2013 By IlyereIn Origami, Origami Flowers4 Comments

Origami decorations are relatively easy to make. Once you make a flower, you can attach it to a stem made of florist's wire and florist's tape. Add a green leaf if you feel like it too. Here, I've made a bunch of tulips with stems, stuck them into a circle of oasis foam, and placed …

Origami rose pen

On Feb 3, 2013Mar 14, 2013 By IlyereIn Origami FlowersLeave a comment

Aren't origami roses just lovely? I've made a lot of flower bouquets in the past year using the wire and stem method, but I did something a little different this time. Instead, I wrapped green paper around a pen and affixed a Kawasaki rose to a calyx on the top of the stalk. Now I …

Seed bead flower hair comb

On Jan 30, 2013Jan 24, 2023 By IlyereIn Hair Accessories, JewelleryLeave a comment

I decided to make use of the stacks of seed beads that I had lying in my bead box on Friday, so I looked up some things and came across this tutorial on how to make a seed bead flower. It was fairly easy to understand and make. The only difficult part was dropping the …

About Atelier Ilyere

The Atelier began in 2013 during college years when I was gifted a pack of origami paper. I have no formal training and learnt everything I know from watching tutorials and reading other blogs - hopefully this will show you how simple it is to learn!
There are some main focuses of the Atelier as seen to the right, but I always branch out and I'm always looking to add more disciplines.
