On Feb 22, 2013Sep 23, 2021 By IlyereIn Jewellery, PendantsLeave a comment

The very first wire-wrapped pendant that I made was a rose quartz pendant, but I made it with basic craft wire and a value set of tools. (Not that I think the tools matter that much, they were new back then. With a new set of tools and materials, here is the updated revision of …

The Cambridge University Chocolate Society, otherwise known as ChocSoc, held a special truffle-making workshop today, just in time for Valentine's Day! Although you could still sign up even if you didn't have that special someone. We were given a chocolate base of either white or dark chocolate mixed with cream, and then we had to …

On Feb 8, 2013Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Hair Accessories, JewelleryLeave a comment

I have been meaning to make something butterfly-themed for a while now. I wanted to make a hair pin, but I could not find any local stores selling them, however John lewis sell metal hair bands and hair combs in their craft section, so I had to get some! At first, I was planning on …

Origami rose pen

On Feb 3, 2013Mar 14, 2013 By IlyereIn Origami FlowersLeave a comment

Aren't origami roses just lovely? I've made a lot of flower bouquets in the past year using the wire and stem method, but I did something a little different this time. Instead, I wrapped green paper around a pen and affixed a Kawasaki rose to a calyx on the top of the stalk. Now I …

Seed bead flower hair comb

On Jan 30, 2013Jan 24, 2023 By IlyereIn Hair Accessories, JewelleryLeave a comment

I decided to make use of the stacks of seed beads that I had lying in my bead box on Friday, so I looked up some things and came across this tutorial on how to make a seed bead flower. It was fairly easy to understand and make. The only difficult part was dropping the …

Chunky blue pearl bracelet

On Jan 26, 2013Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Bracelets, JewelleryLeave a comment

This bracelet is one of the loveliest things I've ever made. It's really eye-catching and is sure to make a statement. It's also fairly heavy, haha. I basically made the bracelet by tying up the curb chain with elastic, then filling up the spaces with all sorts of beads. I chose to use a pack …

Helmsweave chainmaille bracelet

On Jan 23, 2013Mar 14, 2013 By IlyereIn Bracelets, JewelleryLeave a comment

This is my first attempt at chainmaille. I found this helmsweave pattern online, along with many other free patterns. I used both silver and brass wire to highlight the patterns. And I wanted to use up the rest of my silver coil of wire, so here's the end product! There are three types of rings …

Starstone pendant

On Jan 18, 2013Mar 14, 2013 By IlyereIn Jewellery, Pendants4 Comments

My latest pendant, a starstone wrapped in brass wire. They call starstone 'The stone of Ambition'. It glitters so much when you move it. The lady who I bought it from said that people would use it to make wishes as it looked like the night sky in a stone. It has such a weird …

About Atelier Ilyere

The Atelier began in 2013 during college years when I was gifted a pack of origami paper. I have no formal training and learnt everything I know from watching tutorials and reading other blogs - hopefully this will show you how simple it is to learn!
There are some main focuses of the Atelier as seen to the right, but I always branch out and I'm always looking to add more disciplines.
