Valentine’s truffles

The Cambridge University Chocolate Society, otherwise known as ChocSoc, held a special truffle-making workshop today, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Although you could still sign up even if you didn’t have that special someone.

We were given a chocolate base of either white or dark chocolate mixed with cream, and then we had to mix it up with things such as peanut butter, fudge chunks, even chilli powder. After that, we let the mixture settle in the fridge for a few minutes before rolling them up into little balls and decorating them with sprinkles, melted chocolate, cocoa powder… the works, really!

The event was £4 for members, and £7 for non-members, but no matter who you were, it was certainly well worth it! Especially for me, as I went to get a second helping. XD I filled my white chocolate with peanut butter and fudge, and flavoured my dark chocolate with mint.
