I went home for a bit and visited the local haberdashery when the market was open. I ended up buying lots of ribbons to make hair clips with!

I made ribbon barrettes a while back, but I wasn’t too happy with the blue one that I made, mainly because I wasn’t able to buy a wide blue ribbon to give the piece a certain ‘oomph’ to it. And anyway, to me, the larger the ribbon, the better! I wear this on the back of my head, it’s almost as long as my hair length, haha.

I originally wanted to put a spotted ribbon in between the two satin ribbons, but I decided to have it on its own. Organza works well with the satin anyway. So I tied up a basic ribbon loop with the spotted ribbon and superglued it to an alligator clip. I wear this clip on the side of my head.
