Citrine energises every level of life. It cleanses the chakras and opens the intuition. Citrine attracts wealth, prosperity and success. It imparts joy, wonder, delight and enthusiasm. Raises self-esteem and self-confidence. Stimulates the brain, strengthening the intellect. Citrine promotes motivation, activates creativity and encourages self-expression. Enhances concentration and revitalises the mind. It releases negative traits, depression, fears and phobias. Emotionally balancing. (From Charms of Light.)
Citrine is such a pretty stone. The colour compliments brass wire well, although I’m pretty sure it works with both silver and copper. (I made a copper citrine tree of life before, it does look nice.) Such a versatile stone! By the way, the stone looks a bit dark here, it is a lot brighter in light, trust me. 🙂
I learnt some new methods in wire wrapping, I’ll share my tips with you. ^_^
If you use round wire like me, taping the wires together helps.
Hold the wires down as you wrap, and the result looks very neat.
Shape the wire around the general shape of the stone.
Using the same methods, wrap the wire again.
Shape the wire around the stone again and wrap the ends together.
Use pliers to pull out sections of wire at the back for the stone to rest in.
Place the stone inside and pull out sections of wire from the front now to secure it.
Go crazy, shape the wire any way you like!
I settled for keeping most of the free wires at the front of the stone.
