Who am I?

This is Atelier Ilyere’s first official blog post!

Hello there, my name is Helen. A little introduction about me…

I’m currently a student with a passion for artisan crafts. At the moment, I make origami and various papercraft, wire-wrapped pendants and other jewellery, and recently I learned how to sew and make small stuff plushies.

You’ll notice I have a menu bar near the top of the page with links to many other pages, so why would I want to create a blog now? Well, I’ve been thinking that a blog allows for more room for describing the working process, and more description of the item. For example, on Facebook I usually just post images, and on deviantART I list the materials used, but nothing too in-depth. (AUTHOR NOTE: the aforementioned social links are now defunct.)

Also, I first created a WordPress account to join an origami blog as a co-author. It’s called Learn 2 Origami and they post images of their origami creations, and even sometimes offer tutorials. You should go have a look at it! I’ve already posted there! I shared an image which I’ll put in this blog too.

If you want to see some of my older things, please go to my Facebook page. (AUTHOR NOTE: the aforementioned social links are now defunct.) I’ll only be uploading new things from now on. Anyway, see you around!

My pin board next to my door. I used paper from a blank memo block to create everything. Except for the lined paper in the middle, of course!
