Large ribbon hair clips

A few weeks ago, a friend asked me to make her a hair clip that was made up of ribbon bows stacked on a barrette. After I made the one for her, I was so captivated by it that I ended up making two more for myself specifically! XD The simple idea is to make …

Simple beaded bracelets

CraftSoc at UoB finally did a jewellery session! It was a simple session, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. One of the committee members had travelled down to Hobbycraft in Solihull to buy a huge assortment of beads for us to use. In Hobbycraft, they have a pick and mix bead section where you take a …

Earrings – “Unchained heart”

On Mar 9, 2013Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Earrings, JewelleryLeave a comment

Decided to do some quick pieces using the now-very-large bag of Swarovski crystals that I keep impulsively buying whenever I see it in stores. XD The colour of the red Siam hearts are just gorgeous, and it really stands out, so I paired them with a silver key and silver chain to give it the …

Carnelian – “Cradled Ember”

On Mar 3, 2013Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Jewellery, PendantsLeave a comment

I have a huge backlog of gemstones to wrap. I always buy more stones than I can wrap in a given time period. =w= Anyway, carnelian is a reddish-brown stone, and copper seemed to suit it the best. I tried a slightly new style here, opting for more a pieces of longer wire strands., I …

Magic rose cube

On Feb 27, 2013Jul 9, 2015 By IlyereIn Modular Origami, Origami FlowersLeave a comment

I made this red and green cube out of six interlocking units. It's really easy to make, especially if you've done modular origami before. It looks like any ordinary cube, right? Well, something interesting happens when you pull out the triangular-shaped parts of the three red faces! My ordinary cube has now become a rose! …

Origami rose pen

On Feb 3, 2013Mar 14, 2013 By IlyereIn Origami FlowersLeave a comment

Aren't origami roses just lovely? I've made a lot of flower bouquets in the past year using the wire and stem method, but I did something a little different this time. Instead, I wrapped green paper around a pen and affixed a Kawasaki rose to a calyx on the top of the stalk. Now I …

About Atelier Ilyere

The Atelier began in 2013 during college years when I was gifted a pack of origami paper. I have no formal training and learnt everything I know from watching tutorials and reading other blogs - hopefully this will show you how simple it is to learn!
There are some main focuses of the Atelier as seen to the right, but I always branch out and I'm always looking to add more disciplines.
